New Project: Lime Hills Academy
Find out more about our recently started project for Bowmer + Kirkland.

We’re delighted to share that our team has recently started work at the highly anticipated Lime Hills Academy in Langford, North Somerset, which is due to open next year.
Our extensive package of works includes the delivery of the sports pitches and multi-use games area (MUGA), the importation and spreading of 800 tonnes of topsoil, GreenBlue Urban RootSpace® tree pit installation, and soft landscaping across the site.
Lime Hills Academy currently operates from a temporary site in Nailsea and shared school facilities in Weston-super-Mare while its new purpose-built site is developed in Langford.
Operated by Cabot Learning Federation and developed in partnership with North Somerset Council and Bowmer + Kirkland, the new SEND school will provide specialist education for 65 pupils aged five to 16 with social, emotional and mental health needs. The academy is expected to welcome pupils to the new site in September 2027.
Working for main contractor Bowmer + Kirkland, our team is delivering the new sports pitches and MUGA. These facilities will form an important part of the wider development, providing safe, high-quality spaces for sport, physical activity and outdoor learning.
The academy will also include libraries, creative studios and specialist learning environments, supporting an individualised curriculum focused on creative arts, artisanship and agriculture. The project will help meet the growing demand for specialist school places across North Somerset, while the MUGA is also intended to support wider community use outside school hours.
We’re incredibly proud to be contributing to such an exciting project, creating outdoor spaces that will help pupils thrive and can be enjoyed by the wider community for many years to come.
